Test principle

This assay employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate E in samples. An antibody specific for E has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any E present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for E is added to the wells. After washing, Streptavidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of E bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

  1. Effects of Replacing Corn with Hydroponically Sprouted Barley on the Growth Performance and Blood Metabolite Status of Holstein Dairy Heifers IF: 2.480
This study aimed to determine the effects of replacing corn with hydroponically sprouted barley (HSB) in Holstein heifer feed on growth performance and blood metabolites. For this purpose, the barley was prepared with hydroponic sprouting under optimized conditions, and its chemical composition was analyzed on a dry matter (DM) basis.
