Macc1 promotes angiogenesis in cholangiocarcinoma by upregulating VegFa

Angiogenesis actively contributes to tumor growth and metastasis. MACC1 was reported to be associated with tumor progression. In the present study, we aimed to investigate the expression and role of MACC1 in cholangiocarcinoma (CCA) and its correlation with angiogenesis.

Astrocytic damage in glial fibrillary acidic protein astrocytopathy during initial attack

Determination of glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP), aquaporin 4 (AQP4), and myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein (MOG) levels in cerebrospinal fluid (CSF), and astrocytic damage analysis in patients with GFAP astrocytopathy (GFAP-A) and other conditions.

Effect of Short-distance Walking Activity on Milk Production and Metabolic Status of Lactating Dairy Cows

In this study, the effect of daily short-distance walking exercise on milk production and metabolic status of the lactating dairy cows was investigated. From this study, we suggest that walking activity can be improved energy balance. Further investigation is needed to determine whether different combinations of distance, rate or doing in morning or afternoon will stimulate energy balance.

NLRC5: potential novel non-invasive biomarker for predicting and refecting the progression of IgA nephritis

The nucleotide oligomerization domain-like receptor subfamily C5 (NLRC5) is primarily expressed in the adaptive and innate immune systems. NLRC5 was recently discovered to regulate immunity and infammatory responses. Abnormal immune and infammatory responses are considered critical pathogenesis in IgA nephritis (IgAN).

The effect of shear on the cytoskeleton remodeling and physiological performance of myocardium cells through Tmod1

Mechanical stimulation alters cell metabolism, but little is known about the effects of mechanical strain on the cytoskeleton of myocardium cells. This study was to investigate the changes of Factin, a cytoskeleton protein of myocardium cells, and to provide a theoretical basis for further investigation of the mechanism of myocardium-remodeling.

Roles of TREM2 in degeneration of human nucleus pulposus cells via NF‐κB p65

Nuclear factor (NF)-κB p65 plays a key role in the development of intervertebral disc degeneration (IDD). Herein, we found that messenger RNA levels of human triggering receptor expressed on myeloid cells‐2 (TREM2) and NF‐κB p65 were upregulated and strongly positive correlated (r2 = 0.299, P = 0.0126) in nucleus pulposus (NP) tissues of patients with IDD.
