Oxytocin (OXT) has been reported to act as a growth regulator in various tumor cells. However, there is a paucity of data on the influence of OXT on cell proliferation of corticotroph adenomas. This study aimed to examine whether OXT affects cell growth in pituitary tumor cell lines (AtT20 and GH3 cells) with a focus on corticotroph adenoma cells.

Asprosin is a counter-regulatory hormone to insulin which plays a role in fasting. It may therefore also play a role in hypoglycaemia unawareness, which has been subsequently examined in this pilot study.Intravenous glucose tolerance test was used to induce controlled hyperglycemia whereas a hyperinsulinemic clamp test was used to induce a controlled hypoglycaemia in 15 patients with diabetes type 1, with and without hypoglycaemia unawareness.

To investigate the expression of lysyl oxidase-like 2 (LOXL2) in cholangiocarcinoma (CCA) and its association with angiogenesis in CCA.The relevant data were downloaded from the GEO database, and then, the difference in LOXL2 mRNA expression between CCA tissue and tumor adjacent tissue was compared.

Golden pompano (Trachinotus ovatus) is a commercially important marine fish and is widely cultured in the coastal area of South China. Salinity is one of the most important environmental factors influencing the growth and survival of fish. The aims of this study are to investigate the growth, physiological, and molecular responses of juvenile golden pompano reared at different salinities. Juveniles reared at 15 and 25‰ salinity grew significantly faster than those reared at the other salinities.

Cholangiocarcinoma (CCA) is the second most common hepatobiliary cancer after hepatocellular carcinoma. Antiangiogenic therapy has been administered to patients with CCA, but the benefits of this therapy remain unsatisfactory. Improved understanding of the molecular mechanisms underlying angiogenesis in CCA is required.
